- How much are badges for the convention?

- How do I get autographs from celebrity guests?
Celebrity guests will be signing autographs most of the time they’re not on a panel. These signings take place in the Walk of Fame, which is located in the Marriott. For up-to-date Walk of Fame hours and any changes, refer to the Dragon Con’s website
- Where do I buy memorabilia and other fun stuff?
As of 2013, dealer tables and exhibitor booths are located in The Atlanta Convention Center at AmericasMart adjacent to the Westin Peachtree Plaza.
- Are actors x, y, or z coming to Dragon*Con this year?
Please check the Dragon Con website for up-to-date coverage of guests.
- Can you get J.K. Rowling or “insert your favorite actor or author here”?
The YA Lit track does not directly book guests. All guest bookings are done by the Dragon Con Guest Committee. If you want to see someone particular, email a nice note to Mischa Hess at firstname.lastname@example.org. However, it never hurts to point your favorite author in our direction. They can refer to the Dragon Con website for the guest application (available every year circa October or November), and direct any questions at the YA Lit staff via our Twitter or email.
- How do I get Wizard Wrock at Dragon Con?
Wizard Rock bands are welcome to apply to attend Dragon Con as performers. Like with celebrity guests and authors, the YA Lit Track has no direct control over guest booking. Our track does not host any specific events that pertain to Wizard Rock. Check out this LJ Entry from 2009, which is still accurate in terms of what attending bands can expect.
- Do you need to sign up for events before the con?
Nope! Come as you are and sign up for our events (such as the costume contest or volunteering to help set up the Yule Ball) at the con. Ninety-nine percent of what we do is “show up and come on in!” but we admit people to panels and events on a first-come/first-served basis. Panels featuring special guests, Harry Potter panels and events and the Yule Ball are always popular and fill up quickly.
- Will you be getting a bigger track room?
Our track is hosted in the lovely Marriott Marquis on the Atrium Level in room 707. Our attendee capacity per panel is a little over 100. For special panels and events, however, we are in larger rooms in other con locations–check the Dragon Con app for the most up-to-date schedule information. We look forward to seeing you there!
- How do I volunteer to be on a panel or run an event?
Email the track at email@example.com. Please note that we are a popular track among formal Dragon Con guests and attending professionals, and we may not be able to accommodate additional requests to sit on panels. However, we are always interested in hearing from Dragon Con attendees who have new ideas, or want to help with an event.
- Can I join your staff?
Thank you for your interest, but we’re full up at the moment. Generally, when we have a staff opening, we source new volunteer staff from friends of the track and recommendations of volunteers with previous experience. If you have your heart set on the YA Literature Staff, first let us warn you that it’s not an easy job! You eat, sleep and breath the YA Lit Track, so being on staff requires a serious time commitment. While we don’t anticipate having openings in the near future, if you’re interested, get involved with the track! Attend our panels, say hi to us, help us set up the Yule Ball… if we don’t know you, we can’t take you on 🙂 And in general, we recommend you volunteer for other areas of the con. The best way to get involved in Dragon Con is to get involved in Dragon Con! You can find volunteer information here. After a small fee for your first year, as long as you volunteer at least 25 hours at con, you get your con registration waived. And volunteering is a great way to experience the con and meet new people!
